The Smartest People Know Nothing
I am the wisest man alive, for I know one thing, and that is that I know nothing.
The older I get, the more I realize how much I have left to learn.
When you’re a young child, you assume that adults are these magical beings that have all the answers.
It wasn’t until I was almost a teenager that I realized that adults can get it wrong too. As a matter of fact, most of them are making it up as they go along.
It didn’t make sense to me at first—how could people be so confident, if they often didn’t know the right answer?
It’s precisely because these people aren’t afraid to be wrong, and have failed many times, that they operate with such security.
Life isn’t about having all the answers.
It’s about waking up everyday with an open mind, and a heart full of passion—passion about love, life, and all the little things in between.
You can fill in the rest of the blanks when you come to them—operate as if you’re using a pen, but never forget that there’s usually an eraser for the biggest mistakes.
